I once spent $30,000 in a single year on five travel destinations… and had to pull money out of my retirement account to cover it. Without telling my spouse.
After the spiral, I decided it was time to overhaul my whole life. So… here we go.
This blog was born somewhere between a panic attack, an adventure trip, and a desperate search for purpose. It’s what happens when life goes sideways and instead of trying to fix what isn’t broken, you decide to write your way through it.
Some posts will be about leaving a job that felt like a stalker boyfriend. Other posts, will be about getting diagnosed with ADHD at 50. One post might cover mental health, the good, the bad, the absolutely unhinged. Another might take you through hiking boots, estate planning, weird grief, money choices (both brilliant and disastrous), or random stories that leave you snort-laughing and slightly concerned.
You never know what you’re going to get here. And that’s kind of the point.
I’ve spent too many years trying to squeeze into jobs, friendships, and systems that were never built for people like me.
It’s time to be real. Unpolished. Off trail.
We’ll get through this — one messy mile at a time.
Welcome to the tribe. Subscribe, share, leave a comment, and remember: just because it’s off the map doesn’t mean it’s the wrong way.
I’ll be out there too. Probably lost. Definitely out of breath.
