I’m Ann Ridge, a curious, raw-and-real, trail-loving, chaos-prone adventure girl with a passion for honest storytelling and a talent for getting lost in all the best (and wildest) ways. This is where you’ll find the stories you didn’t see coming, the detours you didn’t plan for, and those “you can’t make this sh*t up” moments that somehow teach you something whether you want it to or not.

Diagnosed later in life with the full mental-health party pack, depression, PTSD, anxiety, ADHD and now a few years sober, I bring equal parts honesty, humor, and “are we crying and laughing right now?” energy. My life is mostly held together with bungee cords, super glue, and unexpected bursts of laughter.
Oh, and did I mention f***ing menopause? It’s so much more than hot flashes, it’s a full-body rebrand I never asked for.
Whether I’m vanishing into the woods or navigating the weird terrain of everyday life, I write like your brutally honest friend, uplifting, unfiltered, and always a little off the beaten path.
You never know what you’ll get here. Sometimes it’s deep, sometimes it’s hilarious, sometimes it’s both in the same breath. For the wanderers, the overthinkers, and the ones who never felt built for the main trail, this is for you. One messy mile at a time… let’s walk it together.
