Welcome, fellow wanderer,
If you’ve ever felt like you’re halfway through life with a half-packed emotional backpack, unsure whether you’re lost or just taking the scenic route, then you’re in the right place.
I’m Ann Ridge, a midlife woman who has spent the last fifteen years wondering why everything from my mind to my metabolism felt like a bad group project. Turns out, menopause was quietly hijacking the map the whole time….but no one knew that, including me!
Mentally Off Trail is where I unpack it all, the hormones, the past that won’t go away, the healing, the humor, and the holy-shit moments that make up this wild season of life. It’s part reflection, part rebellion, part “what the f— just happened?”
Here, we talk about personal growth, mental health, strength, grief, aging, ADHD, anxiety, identity shifts, and all the messy, magnificent ways women reinvent themselves when no one’s watching. Sometimes it’s serious. Sometimes it’s emotional. Usually big picture humorous. Always, it’s honest. Maybe a little…or a lot sweary.
So take a breath, Grab your pack. Lace up those boots.
We’re going off trail, not to get lost, but to see what else is out there.
